We are running a number of courses in Printmaking at Kensington and Chelsea College starting in September. These courses are designed for a range of experiences, from complete beginners, to those who want to refresh their skills and print techniques, to those more confident using print media. The studio at Kensington and Chelsea College is spacious and light with good fume extraction and specialist facilities for all the Intaglio techniques and includes 2 Rochat printing presses, bed size: 26x48. You will be introduced to a range of printmaking techniques through demonstrations and workshops exploring the mark making opportunities of dry point and etching, painterly approaches to print such as monoprint and a la poupee, the graphic qualities of photo-etching and the experimental medium of collagraph. |

Two enthusiastic, inspiring and energetic Artists in Residence required to manage our well-equipped print room and teach on our regular courses in an 18th Century building in Bracknell. The residency is initially for a one year period, with the possibility of extending for another year. Artists in Residence will have an opportunity to exhibit work created during the residency in our main Bracknell Gallery. Payment for teaching hours. | I am looking for some second hand wooden framed silk screen frames that are clearly well used (ink stained etc). I am also looking for old inks (from the '60s) and old squeegees. Non of the materials have to be useable as they are needed for part of a display for a college project. I will pay fair (but not silly) prices for them and will collect where possible. |

Students will learn how to layer images and use single and double exposure methods to produce very different results. Students will also learn a variety of inking techniques and how these can change the finished work. £80.00 (includes 4 10x15cm solar plates and other basic materials) Lino Etch 3 Day Workshop 2nd, 3rd, 4th July 1030 - 4.30 Students will learn how to etch lino using standard household varnish as a stop-out and caustic soda to etch.This technique produces prints rich in colour and texture and students will learn how to combine this technique with collagraph. I have designed a series of workshops at my studio in the pretty village of Lilley in Hertfordshire. These will be held partly in my large garden (small marquee) and in my purpose equipped studio. All materials are provided plus light lunch ( special diets catered for ) except for the Multi Coloured Collagraph Rubs where you need to bring a packed lunch. On going refreshments are included in the price of all workshops. Two days are the advisable choice thereby covering both plate making and printing . All abilities welcome to the basic collagraph workshops, and no previous art or printing experience is necessary. The Multi Coloured Collagraph Rubs Workshops are suitable for students with prior experience of collagraph techniques. So why not join us, learning with like-minded people in a stimulating atmosphere, experiencing this amazing art form where success is guaranteed.
