My work reflects an interest in both processes of print and issues of drawing. Moving beyond the traditional perception of print as a number of identical images produced in an edition and drawing as the sketching of an idea or representation of an object - I am concerned with repetition, variation, and visual interaction between outline/edge, surface/space and positive/negative. I am also interested in the literal and implied connections made between individual pieces of work and how these are orchestrated through exhibition and installation. Personal engagement with my work through the physical act of making is important to me and I am interested in the idea of drawing and print as a form of contact - between artist and medium, artist and audience and audience and work.
My current work includes carbon prints on transparent and translucent papers such as tracing paper and tissue and large paper prints
